Just as we expect our learners to continue growing and improving, we should model the same behavior ourselves. Together through shared experiences, collaboration, and problem-solving, we will increase our knowledge of tools and practices so that we can effectively implement a blended learning model in our classrooms. Use this page as a hub where we can navigate all things related to our journey.
Engaging in an
Effective Learning Environment
As a participant in this professional learning course for blended learning, you will be engaging in an effective learning environment that includes five key practices for success.

Why Participate in this NEW PL Model?
Year after year, we have been asked to participate in various professional opportunities. Some we choose to participate in willingly; others, we participate out of compliance. Whatever the reason, many of us have left possibly inspired but with mixed feelings. How do we implement what we have learned? Who can I turn to for support? Where can I find others who are experts who can model these new practices for me? Wanting to use what we have learned, many might feel overwhelmed and like we don't know where to start.

Learner Expectations

The purpose of this course is for our professional learning community to grow as educators while supporting each other. We will utilize the knowledge and expertise of our facilitators while also being able to collaborate with our peers.
Our individual classrooms not only present unique challenges, but we also experience similar obstacles to overcome. With collaboration and support of our peers, we can learn from each other and work together to find solutions to shared frustrations.
Keeping a growth mindset will be important as we navigate implementing new skills and experiencing setbacks as we navigate our way to success.
Whether you are experiencing frustrations or celebrations, we will come together as one community to support each other. Having teachers from various levels of experience, there will be someone nearby we can learn from or support.
